A Eugene Jazz Trio

We Are
Break away from the algorithms of streaming music and bring “live” back to live events. The Blessed Relief Jazz trio is here to liven up your next event, your restaurant or concert venue with the endless possibilities of jazz.
At its core, Blessed Relief Jazz trio consists of Eugene-based musicians inspired by the genre’s greats. This premier jazz trio’s repertoire and styles reflects their influences, including guitarist Wes Montgomery, drummer Elvin Jones and bassist Jaco Pastorius. The trio also pays homage to the songwriting and improvisational music of Miles Davis and Charlie Parker by featuring compositions by those artists in their setlists.
The Blessed Relief Jazz trio has a wide range of repertoire that can fit any venue and space. From explosive bebop to groove-oriented jazz blues to the swingin’ Great American Songbook, the Pacific Northwest trio is driven by the melodically rich standards of the genre.
The trio’s name, Blessed Relief, is from a Frank Zappa song on his jazz-oriented album The Grand Wazoo. And it reflects the jazz’s signature weave complex chord changes and lush melodies into moments of tension that ultimately land with beautiful resolution, all what the trio strives for.
Cocktail hour, happy hour, or hours of non-stop music—the Blessed Relief Jazz Trio delivers a performance steeped in groove and swing. No matter the setting, they bring the exact soul, energy and sophistication inherent in jazz.
Don’t take our word for it. For the past year, Blessed Relief Jazz has performed consistently in the Willamette Valley, including Garden on Friendly, the Monkey’s Paw Tiki Bar, Territorial Vineyards and Wine Company, Claim 52 Brewery, Oakshire Brewing in Eugene, private events — and more.
Jazz is best played with friends.
